Welcome to my homepage.
My name is Vinayak.
I am a methodologist, with a background in official statistics, health behaviour change and an interest in making social science (particularly psychology and health psychology) more open.
I’ve created this website to share my work and creative pursuits, and hopefully make them both accessible and engaging.
I’m calling this project “Varthai”, which is a word from the Tamil language.
It translates to “word” in English.
The name comes from the idea that the same object can often be expressed using different words.
So, in that vein, I’d like to use different words (in the metaphorical sense) to express my work.
Through data visualisations, drawings and poetry, I’d like to have a word with you.
Or to put it in Tamil:
தரவு காட்சிப்படுத்தல்கள், ஓவியங்கள், கவிதைகள் மூலமா, உங்களோட ஒரு வார்த்தை பேச ஆசை.
